On Tuesday 26 May we hosted Sean from The Shaka Project.
Sean talked about the stigma around mental health, and why checking in on your mates matters, even with a simple text message or phone call. He gave a different perspective on what to look for when a mate might be struggling. He also spoke about statistics, including that three times as many women as men attempt suicide every week, yet we rarely hear the female statistics.
Thank you to everyone who came on the night and supported the event. If you missed out on merchandise, you can buy it from The Shaka Project's website.

May by the numbers
- $1,805 raised by the club over the month of May
- 1,013.79 km covered by the club over the month
- $504 raised from the raffle, all donated to The Shaka Project
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated and got involved. You are the difference and the change.
Thank you
A huge thank you to Dani Bish and The Beachport Hotel, who made 70 pizzas in two hours on the night we hosted Sean. That's a new record for them and a massive effort. They also donated $200 worth of vouchers for our raffle. The raffle raised $504, which would not have been possible without their support.
Thank you also to everyone who helped throughout May to make everything run smoothly. Your work has not gone unnoticed and is very much appreciated.
