Gifted by Bowman Earthmovers in 2025, the club's 24-seat community bus has already completed 74 trips, around 9,500 km and more than 1,300 passenger journeys — sporting trips, community outings, safe transport home from club events and community hire.

The rodeo is one of the big days on the Hatherleigh calendar — a chance for the district and visitors from across the region to come together under the lights. The 2026 rodeo was held on Saturday 3 January; the next rodeo is Saturday 2 January 2027, with live music. Hatherleigh people flying the blue and gold around the world. Travelling? Pack your club gear, take a photo somewhere memorable and send it in.
From presentation nights to working bees and family days, the clubrooms are where Hatherleigh comes together.

Canteen, gate, scoring, timekeeping, coaching, team management, bar, grounds and committee — none of it happens without volunteers. Big events need big working bees too: every year volunteers turn the oval into a rodeo arena, from spreading the sand and grooming the surface to fencing, chutes, hay bales and lighting. Volunteers have also been up on the clubrooms roof helping install the club's new solar panels. Every hour counts.

Fundraising keeps registrations affordable, facilities improving and juniors on the park. Plenty of it is hands-on: club crews giving up a day's work, with the proceeds going back into the club. Supporting a club fundraiser supports the whole district.

Each year Hatherleigh hosts an MND feature round as part of FightMND's DIY Big Freeze, with community ice-bucket dunks and activities raising money for research into motor neurone disease and better care for Australians living with MND.

Hatherleigh was awarded a $20,000 Cancer Council SA grant for its bowel cancer screening awareness campaign — a 'Lift Your Game' activation before the A Grade match against Port MacDonnell, screening information for players and supporters, and posters behind the clubroom toilet doors. Bowel cancer is highly treatable when found early, and the at-home test is free.

Our clubs are where people connect and look out for each other. In May 2026 the club hosted Sean from The Shaka Project, raised $1,805 and covered 1,013.79 km, and Hatherleigh supports the league's Mental Health Match raising funds for Beyond Blue. If you're doing it tough, or worried about someone, free and confidential help is available 24/7.

Hatherleigh Sport & Recreation Centre is home to the Eagles — the oval, netball courts and clubrooms at the heart of the district. Club facilities are available for hire for functions, community events and sporting use. Upgrades to the oval lighting, netball facilities and scoreboard are on the way.

Hatherleigh keeps investing in facilities that will serve the club and district for decades — backed by grant funding, sponsors and volunteers.
