The club is celebrating the successful completion of its new solar and battery installation. It's an investment that will deliver long-term benefits: lower energy costs, better sustainability, and a more secure future for our facilities for years to come.
The finished project is already delivering reduced power bills and long-term savings. It certainly didn't happen by chance. Behind the scenes there were countless hours spent:
- obtaining quotes
- sourcing materials
- coordinating contractors
- preparing grant applications
- managing the project from start to finish
On the tools
A huge thank you to everyone who generously donated their time, skills, equipment and expertise to make this project possible:
- Jason Faulkner, Amy Faulkner and Emily Hassell
- Hammo's Electrical, Connect Electrical SE and eSmart Electrical
- Sam Fitzgerald, Ben Sims, Louis Brown, Brad Wight, Mitch Pulmer, Jack Gray, Joseph Ferguson-Lane, Brad Mitchell and Hammo Hammo
Their contribution significantly reduced the overall cost of the installation, and it shows the incredible community spirit that exists within our club.
Keeping everyone fed and watered
Thank you also to Kate Fitzgerald, Staci Wilcox, Elizabeth Stuckey and the Ladies Committee for keeping everyone fed and watered throughout the working bee. The refreshments and support on the day were greatly appreciated by all involved.
Funding partners
We sincerely thank the SA Government, Wattle Range Council and our solar project sponsors for their generous financial support.

Built by community
Projects like this show what can be achieved when volunteers, local businesses and the community come together with a shared goal. Every hour donated, every phone call made, every grant application completed and every helping hand offered has contributed to an outcome that will benefit our members and community well into the future.
Thank you to everyone who played a part, both on the tools and behind the scenes. We are incredibly grateful for your support!
